Aeght Things at Once
The picture below is named .miku. by an artist that goes by the name Treeworshipper. This piece intrigued me because of the realism mixed with a little of anime and well creativity. Every time I look at this piece the eyes capture me and then my eyes fall to her lips that look as if had the same amount of attention as the eyes did because they are very well detailed. I love how you can get see all the different colors in the eyes yet not have any of them blatantly sticking out and how light the eyelashes are with a wispy effect. The lips actually look like lips and not two lines that look like lips. The lip ring was a good addition to the picture as well. The hair is a little on the anime side but very well done, it flows just like regular hair and like the eyelashes has a slight wispy effect as well. The darkness of the hair as slight as it is also makes the face look brighter and more fair. I also love the bright color splashes around the picture because I don’t know if it was intentional or not but it surrounds the face kind of making it the focal point which it should be. A lot of this artists other work is a little bit darker in a color sense but the talent and attention to detail is fantastic! You can tell the difference between the artwork from when she started to now. Its kind of an artwork adventure and how the artist progressed through the years. If you have a chance you should check out the rest of the profile on her deviantart. This is an artist that you don’t want to pass up.

This artist goes by Leaunoire, from what I know…though we have established that I’m the world’s worst stalker so…yeah… At any rate, this artist easily ranks among the amazing ones. Coincidentally, I feature her here. Heh, you got jokes. Funny. >
Well anyway, for her, I actually had a bit of an issue. She had three pieces that I wanted to feature buuuttt I’ll only feature one. Oddly enough, I ran into the same problem with Twelfth but since I wasn’t able to legitimately get a link to the pictures that I’d wanted to do, I just chose that one.
Okay back on topic. Leaunoire makes me envious with her color style. Everything blends and it’s all smooth. Kind of like cheesecake. But LOOKATIT!!! Most of the time I wonder if that’s mostly just talent or hard work. But I’m too much of a coward to actually ask directly so instead I post things here and drool over them. ::cough::

This artist goes by the name of Twelfth. He may gripe or scorn his line work and some of the pieces that he does but I think he secretly acknowledges his awesomeness. Now, this guy tends to veer toward the darker side of things and some of his pieces may be slightly gory but at the same time, they’re also very emotional…some of them. I can’t help but feel that this particular piece was just for fun. I could be wrong, but whenever I look at it, I get a sense of “what if I do this, here”. And some of his others, when reviewing them, are very astonishing. Don’t get me wrong, he does do the “eh?” piece occasionally, but not too often…::cough::.

This artist goes by the name of Astrohelix. I’m not exactly sure how I ended up stumbling upon his work originally but I’m thankful that I did so. He has an amazing color sense and his use of them is very appealing. What I find most amazing about his vibrant color use, is that he’s color blind just as I am. That is such an amazing thing, yet at the same time my colors tend to be slightly muted if not subdued… anyway, the piece that I’m featuring is this one. This guy is definitely amazing.

This young woman goes by “Nanya” from what I’ve seen online. Though I may be considered the worlds worst stalker so she might have other screenies that I’m not aware of. At any rate, she did this painting with watercolors and pencils. I’ve been trying to follow her work religiously but no matter how many times I see her hand it still blows me away. Usually leaves me envious and in a flurry to work harder but I still find it enthralling nonetheless.
