He was small, but always so sweet. He used to sit on my chest while I played video games on the couch. He would chase anything mouse shaped, and ate bagels. He MAULED bread, in fact. He would tear open brand new bags just to nom on the starchy goodness inside. Recently he was moving around with difficulty after we got a nasty infestation of fleas in our apartment. Though we tried numerous treatments, he never recovered. He was diagnosed today with a massive blood infection, and high kidney and liver dysfunction. Even if we'd had more money, which we don't, the vet said that his chances were slim with a blood transfusion. He was laid to rest at 1pm pacific standard time today. He was just two and a half years old, which even in cat years is sadly young. He's survived by our older cat Diamond. I don't think I've ever cried so much.
