2/4/10 - I have the feeling that Crystal may lose some fans here.

Sorry about the lack of communication from me this week. Work was pretty busy, as was life outside of work. But I'm sure you all survived.

To let you in on my personal life, Katie and I will be celebrating our 9 year dating anniversary this weekend (starting tomorrow, the official day). We celebrate that because neither of us are fans of Valentine's day, and this is more personal. And I tell you all this because there's a slim chance of a delayed comic. But I'll do what I can to make sure it doesn't happen.

That being said, I can't wait to show you guys Monday's strip. Gonna be a good one to watch the responses to. So until then, enjoy the Super Bowl and have a nice weekend!

2/1/10 - The seriousness continues.

To any of you out there who are planning on running a webcomic as a business, let me give you some very important advice - be very diligent about your bookkeeping throughout the year so at tax time you aren't doing everything all at once. That's advice that I am going to try to remember for this year. I hate taxes.

By the way, the forum has been pretty dead of late. Feel free to register and light some fire in there. It gets kinda lonely.

1/21/10 - Never underestimate the power of a jealous woman.

In case you missed it, I made two posts over at Bardic Musings. The first was a multi-part "Ask the Author" segment about conventions. The second was a "The Process" segment overviewing the setting up of a webcomic website. Take a gander!

And in case you didn't know, when I update things like that I will tweet it, post it on my Facebook page, or on the Bardsworth Facebook page. Stay up to date with any or all of those!

And in non-Bardsworth news, this Saturday is my favorite holiday - National Pie Day. National Pie Day falls on January 23rd every year, and Katie and I celebrate every year. Please join us by having a slice a pie (or two) on Saturday!

1/14/10 - This isn't the first time that Fawn has played with her food and gotten away with it.

This strip was not planned at all, but I really wanted to do something else with "Cookie Mountain". Looking at Mike in the last panel makes me giggle as much as I did when I came up with the idea. Rawr.

It's been a pretty stressful couple of weeks at work, which is why I've fallen behind on Bardic Musings. Usually I'll post stuff there in my off time at work, but things are really jumping right now. I know I have an Ask the Author question to answer, as well as some more The Process articles to post, and I will try to get to them as soon as I can.

And while I'm thinking about it, I wanted to plug a new webcomics creator resource, Webcomics Community. I was invited to join in and I've been posting over there rather frequently. It's a gathering place for artists, writers, web designers, and webcomic hobbyists. Be sure to check it out if you're in any way connected to the webcomic creation process.

I'm planning on having a restful weekend, but I will make sure that a comic goes up on Monday. Cub Scout's honor. Have yourselves a great weekend while you wait.

Woo, another fully colored strip! And finished before midnight! I'm on a roll! Gotta keep up this momentum.

That's about all I got. Seriously, I don't really have anything to talk about. I'll try to have a voting incentive up for next week and I'm way behind on my Bardic Musings posts, but I'm focusing more on the strip at the moment (as I'ms sure you would rather me do). 12/28/09 - Sorry that the last two strips are still uncolored and that Monday's strip is late. The holidays were MUCH busier than I anticipated, and I haven't been able to think about the comic let alone work on it. I'll be trying very hard to catch up now that the holiday craziness is at an end. Please check back or keep your eyes on my Twitter feed for updates.

12/24/09 - In retrospect, doing a serious comic right before Christmas was probably not the best idea. Oh well, that's the way the story goes.

This strip was posted earlier than usual, since I am - as of Wednesday night - going to be away from any kind of internet access until after Christmas. I SHOULD, however, have time to actually color the past two strips. I hope.

Other that, have a great Christmas (holiday season to those of you who prefer the PC version of goodwill) and I'll see you folks before the New Year.

12/21/09 - When Francis puts his foot down, you do not want to argue.

Once again I apologize for a colorless update. You're going to have to get used to them, though. With the holiday season kicking into high gear, my time is being sucked away for other things. But look at it this way - it's better than me taking a hiatus, right?

Nothing much else to report at the moment. I'm behind on my Ask the Author and The Process segments in Bardic Musings, so I will try to catch up on those this week. Other than that, have a great week and I'll see you Thursday.

12/17/09 - Keep it simple.

Apologies for the lack of color today. I am trying to finish up a commission for someone and it ended up being more work than I thought it would. I was asked to draw a pin-up type picture of someone as a fairy. It's been fun, though, and I hope I get to do something like this again.

In other news, it looks like the posse from Steel City Con may be reuniting in April in Buffalo, NY for UBCon, a convention at my alma mater. We may even be doing a panel. More details as they develop.

That's about all I got right now. It's way past my bedtime. Have a great weekend and check back for colors when you get a chance.
