1 June 2009
It's back to an every-other-Monday schedule for updates now, as I enter the home stretch for sending
Renaming of the Birds out to agents and publishers. I can't thank you all enough for reading and
enjoying what I do, for writing your lovely emails, and for helping BF reach new audiences through blogs and whatnots.
Warms a guy's heart, it does.

Road-weary Buttercup Festival reader Eric opens negotiations with Dali, who looks only too willing to swap his
dolphin hat for a fine Cosmic T. It should be noted that, while all the photos I’ve been sent are of guys wearing
the male/unisex variety of shirt, there are 4 ladies sizes as well.

Now that the weather's turning fine and warm, this might be the perfect time to buy a quality
Buttercup Festival shirt.
Printed on soft, organic cotton, they will feel good on the outside of you, and on the inside. Don't eat them,
that's not what I mean.

9 March 2009
I'm delighted to say that my first full collection of poetry will be released in September from
Two Ravens Press. The book will be called Parsimony: there’s a cover and
some blurby information way down at the bottom of their
forthcoming for 2009 page.
(It's still worth your while to pick up the
Scarecrow pamphlet, if you're interested in the poetry, as
this sequence isn't being collected into Parsimony.)

My nose continues to scrape off against the grindstone on Renaming of the Birds. I’ll try to have an extra BF strip
or two in the near future, as they make pretty good warm-ups for the bird stuff.

23 February 2009
We're doing three updates this week, Mon-Wed-Fri.

I've got a couple BF-related YouTube links to share with you.
This one comes from David Rutter, who
got together with his friends, took a little bit of Buttercup Festival and a lot of xkcd, and
whipped themselves up a prize-winning student film.
This one my mom found a while ago, an
animated short based on an old Series 1 strip.

The complete user-unfriendliness of my archive is attested by the fact that I can't bring
myself to track down the relevant strips and provide links.
