A two page update again! And chapter ten ends here! I have another page halfway done, so I may update on Monday.

The last page of chapter 10 gave me a lot of trouble. I have a lot of difficulty with backgrounds. I cannot understand what to put in them; what little details to add, like paintings, furniture, wallpaper. How do people imagine? I don't understand it, even though I've been making backgrounds for Catalyst forever.

I think it's worth mentioning that Elei absolutely adored her husband. But you'll find that out later anyway, I hope. That said, my comic is really a little boring, perspective wise, so from now on, I'm going to try to be as absolutely crazy as possible with perspective. I hope I'll give y'all motion sickness.

Bet none of you knew that. That said, Daian is blushing and it is hilarious. Anyhow, I have another page that only needs a little shading and text, so I'll have that up for y'all on TWC soon, to make up for missing Wednesday. ^^

My comic is really a little boring, art wise. It's always the same old front or side view. So from now on, I'm going to try to be as absolutely crazy as possible with perspective. I hope I'll give y'all motion sickness. Also, the fact that I didn't update the link to Sunset Grill is mortifying. ;_; I'm an online klutz. This week's link works, I swear.

Ahh, I just got an awesome idea for a new story. ^_^ Which will be much shorter than Catalyst. >>; I hope. Catalyst is way too long. But anyway, it won't be around for awhile. Catalyst; first order of business! =D Anyhow, I'm quite happy about this current scene. I know it's sort of slow going, but when Alcarin's provoked, he becomes a veritable gold mine of Elei!exposition.

arrrg! That was a nasty piece of background! It took me forever to buck up and tackle it. :P The next page has an equally mean one, unfortunately.

On the bright side, I did a whole ton of art yesterday! I was a bit worried that my focus on the comic might cause my normal art skill to go down the drain (painting people wise, I mean), but it appears to have had the opposite effect. Yes! Happy Valentines Day!

I'm a little gloomy about having to sacrifice quality for a smaller comic size. Oh well. In the meantime, I've discovered that I multitask really well. Watching TV shows at the same time as drawing comic tends to lead to having a lot of comic done before I even know it.

I didn't update on Wednesday, so here's two pages to make up for the lack! One's on TWC as usual.

Mr. A: Your criticism is quite valid. ^^; Catalyst has a weak beginning because I was relatively young when I started it and had little storytelling sense. I'm trying to catch up now, but it's awfully late in the day and hard to do. I'm glad I made it, though; it's taught me a lot, so I'm going to finish it. :)

You won't believe how -hard- it is to dye jet black hair. I had to bleach mine twice just to get it orange. Oh well.

If you go back to the early chapters (which I'm sure no one rememebers), the fox, 'Re, is actually supposed to kill Kai'. Poor girl, eh. Looking back, I think I could have done better storytelling by focusing more on Kai' than on all characters overall. If Catalyst has a main character, it's Elei, and Elei's not really the type you sympathize with. hmmm. oh well.

(I knooow! DX Poor Kai is like a gutted fish.)

Anyway, long time (one and a half weeks!) no see.

I'm currently living in Quito, Ecuador. It's a cute city. Reminds me of home. Not being able to speak Spanish is a pain, and due to work (I'm a code monkey intern at heart) I don't really have the time to take classes.

Good news is that the comic shouldn't be much affected. I think I can still get out two pages a week. That's cool, eh? =D See y'all Sunday.

Two page update today! So I've linked one from the most recent, and another, as usual, is on TWC. Poor Kai', huh. It's okay though; she grows up.

I may be late updating for the next week or so. I'm moving to Quito, Ecuador for a co-op, and will have to get myself a nice cheap scanner before I can do any more comic. =3 But I'm excited about it!
