Well... Janurary just turned into a huge time sink. Now I'm finished with editing books for sale, so I am just working on art between page updates.

I'll be at Megacon in Orlando, FL the weekend of March 12-14. If you come to my table and have actually heard of/read my comic before, I'll make sure you get something extra.

Sunday, Janurary 17th

As I'm sure you've noticed, this page is not new. But last update, I promised a big conclusion and getting on with the story, and all that! Well, life just kicked us (Brandon and I) in the teeth again. Not hard. Long story short, a relative died and we had to go out of town on short notice. We're back home now, and we're both fine.

Now I am scrambling to get both Emerald Winter and Lavender Legend books prepared for Megacon (a convention in Orlando, FL) in March. The Emeral Winter book will be what I've started calling the "convention edition" which has no new content, but is formatted to attract more readers to the site. When Emerald Winter's first story is done (we're about 80% there), I'll create a printed version of the whole chapter with improved art, extra content, and all that good stuff.

Page 81 is finally up. I've been pretty beat lately because of the burden of holidays, but I did lay out a lot of ground work for new pages. I will try to maintain a weekly Tuesday update schedule. This is setting my schedule back a good deal, but I think this is the best schedule I can keep to at this point in time.

I can't believe it's been almost a month since the last update already! Rawwrg. There have been a lot of crazy things going on here. I'm doing my best to get this chapter finished by the end of Jan. 2010. If so, then I'll be able to sell the book at Megacon in March. That is my goal right now, and with holidays in December, it's going to be tough. The update-on-Tuesday schedule has not been working so well since I started my job, so for the next couple months I will be updating ASAP, whenever I finish a page. Hopefully this will be more than once a week or I'll never meet my goal!

But hey, despite all the problems, this page is number 80! I always like to celebrate when I get to a new set of numbers, haha.

Speedlines!

Since I have Manga Studio now, I thought I'd start trying some speedline action. I avoid that usually because my hand-drawn lines look all wobbly. Anyway, not sure about the execution in this particular page, but it was fun to try. Rien is scared here because the last time I used speedlines, he got pelted into the ground.
