A new page. William's approach to combatting psychotic people is to be crazier than they are, apparently. I assure you he doesn't have a cartoon-like ability to pull items from behind his back. He has several weapons on his back hidden by his cape. Please ignore the costume inconsistencies for now. I have to go back and make his character design consistent to this picture. I don't think I've drawn it correctly this entire time.

Hey, guys! My internet is down today, but luckily there's a Panera Bread down the road.

My next convention will be Mobicon--a sci-fi/fantasy convention in my hometown of Mobile, AL. It's not a big con, but it's in my city so maybe I can get some local fans. :D

I will be changing my update schedule for both Lavender Legend and Emerald Winter pretty soon. My new goal is to bring you two pages of each every week. Please support me by donating, buying goods or commissioning me. That way I can spend more time drawing comics for you, and less time in Retail Hell.

It's been quite a while since I updated. I am hoping that I can buckle down and keep the updates on time now that all the convention stuff is over.

About this page. Well, my fancy printer broke, so (you probably can't tell but) I had to ink this at the act size, which allows less detail and such. I also followed William's character design for this, so I'll have to go back and fix the parts where I messed up on him. Mainly leaving details like his belt out of the picture.

Get ready for a cool fight scene. It comes up next!

Sorry for the late update, everyone. Since I'm going out of town in about two weeks, I've been putting in a lot of hours at work. Con preparation is also going on here. I have been working up a lot of fanart and original art alike. You can see most of what I've produced either on Emeraldwinter.net or my DeviantArt page. If you're interested in purchasing, it's possible to do that even if you won't be at Megacon. Just send me a note or email 100series@gmail.com about what you'd like to get.

What is going on in these last few pages is purposefully vague. I want the readers (you guys) to have about as much idea of what as going on as Rien actually does, so that you won't be bored as things continue to unfold. The problem with this style of telling the story is that Emerald Winter only updates once per week. Between updates, readers tend to try and fill in the blanks and draw their own conclusions. These assumptions can make the story stop making sense to them.

So, in light of that, let me explain a little bit of what is going on. In Emerald Winter, there is a realm of the living and a realm of the dead. Rien alludes to this in the conversation about Leon's grief. Rien, like most rational people in his world, believes that the dead can't iteract on the mortal coil with living people. However, this is quite false as the necromancers in this story arc illustrate.

Emerald Winter deals with enemies who are beyond the mortal coil, or who are stuck between worlds. Even though the enemy might be dead, that doesn't mean the battle is over. I hope this helps to explain the events which occurred, hopefully without giving away the entire plot, haha.

Sunday, Janurary 17th

As I'm sure you've noticed, this page is not new. But last update, I promised a big conclusion and getting on with the story, and all that! Well, life just kicked us (Brandon and I) in the teeth again. Not hard. Long story short, a relative died and we had to go out of town on short notice. We're back home now, and we're both fine.

Now I am scrambling to get both Emerald Winter and Lavender Legend books prepared for Megacon (a convention in Orlando, FL) in March. The Emeral Winter book will be what I've started calling the "convention edition" which has no new content, but is formatted to attract more readers to the site. When Emerald Winter's first story is done (we're about 80% there), I'll create a printed version of the whole chapter with improved art, extra content, and all that good stuff.
