I've typed that phrase so many times this week it's growing on me. Yes, I can sometimes get obscurely self-referential! In case you are not a crazy fan who remembers everything (or the author), here's a hint: you've seen this guy before a few times. At other times, you've heard someone else talk about him, or you saw him but didn't know it was him. Yeeeah, it's all coming together behind the scenes and not affecting the main plot at all! ...aside from more or less directly causing the whole previous story arc? But this all has nothing to do with Prism finding him cute, though this kind of coincidence is just what you should expect from me!

People may or may not have noticed, but for the last few weeks I've been experimenting with sprinkling some gradients in my usual blocky shading. I can do smooth shading just fine, but this method of making cell shading look like smooth shading with minimal effort is still new to me, and I'm not entirely sure how to do it well. So. Uh. Bear with me! (Bear. Rawr.)

I realized last week a lot of people seemed to assume Sir Manfred was free again after the events of the Rivalkiries story arc.... but nope! Can't let him off that easy! The exit he thought he found was blocked by an entire collapsing building, leaving only space for his head again. All this (indefinite amount of) time, he's been exploring whatever subterranean cracks he can find, feeding on the remnants of the dungeon creatures (Omega Murder Blast affects one target!) and other beasties. He did once say that Snots tasted foul, but were surprisingly filling, after all. You can just think of Sir Manfred as The Dragon in the Kitchen!

Definitely too many specials lately. Croissant's Corner, the pastryversary pic, now this! Lesson learned for me: when you make a comic six times larger than your normal comics, and still four times larger than your halfway-common 'large' comics... start on it EARLIER. I hope you all enjoy it!
