This week, on Flaky Pastry, the Year Without Nitrine comes to an end! Well, it wasn't exactly a year, but something like that. There was that flashback, and she appeared in the christmas picture... it's easier to just consider it one year. And yes, that was just a few days in-comic time. You can re-read the whole thing if you don't believe me!

Also: Drawing a rage face that still looks like a real character is pretty challenging.

It looks as if Flaky Pastry has been entered in a webcomics tournament? That's cool, though I had no previous knowledge of it. But then, with 128 comics entered, there's a lot of comics in there. Still, I'm honoured! Not doing too well against A Softer World in this first round so far, though. So if any of you want to head over to the site and vote, you're welcome to! Incidentally, I updated the cast page with some of the characters that have been featured more or less recently. It was sort of customary for me to update it after each story arc with the new characters from the arc, but I have been lax for a while - anyway I haven't put all these goblins in it yet, the update is about other characters.

Nevermind that my computer had to get repaired and I was without it for several days, and that my washing machine broke at the same time, and that I was scheduled to go see a movie instead of work on the comic the night before my update. You're still getting a comic anyhow! The movie was The Secret world of Arrietty, by the way. Go see it.

Phew, this was a lot of work, as I'm sure you can imagine. I hope you all enjoy it! It was a gruelling but exciting experience on my end. I simply had to hurry and finish the previous two pages early, and then devote every waking moment (outside of work) to it! Okay, that's an exaggeration, but only a small one. You'll notice I didn't do anything for Valentine's Day. I don't always do something for it, but often I try to. Too busy to even think much about it, this year! So yes, again, I hope you all enjoy this short side-story, and seeing what some other characters get up to, even though the main story-focus is away from them - as well as following up to Flaky Pastry 200.
