Don't Be A Clown.

At long last, we come to the end of Dark Jays' Vengeance. He thought to take control of something living and breathing and uncontrollable. Perhaps he'll learn his lesson?

Sometime later, we'll explore the origin of Dark Jay, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, there's a new twist on an old format to see in the next update.

Another surprise I have for you is that I'll be switching the Frog Pond over to a ComicPress setup, with its new location at http://www.artpatient.com/frogpond/. That will provide some little features I don't have the time to learn how to hand code, but primarily I'll be able to [cue fanfare] switch to a three time per week update far more easier. I don't always have the free time to stop what else I'm doing and update. ComicPress will let me schedule updates at my convenience - kind of like a fire and forget thing.

I hope to be able to tweak the ComicPress setup and get it in shape within a week, so hopefully I'll have three day a week updates beginning next Monday. It's going to take a little while to transfer all the archives over, so the old pages will remain for you to enjoy.

Explanation.

Finally we have the explanation. There was no 'breaking and entering' as charged in the very first comic of DJ's endless monolog. This, I suppose, sets the record straight. It was just an unfortunate chain of events leading to the destruction of DJ's underground base and the subsequent Frog Pond takeover bid.

Next time we'll see how Gus wants it to go from now on.

Things may have finally just gotten better.

Well, of course, the boys are in full scale retreat and Dark Jay has declared himself Lord of the Trees. None of that is good, per se.

The good part is that DJ is finally done monologing.

The Tree Fort is Lost!

OH NO! DJ has claimed the Tree Fort! That was supposed to be the first, last and only line of defense against the encroaching forces of the Natives (and Dark Jay, as it turns out.)

This brings us even with the end of the Frog Pond Experiment, the last storyline. I was experimenting with doing more gag comics but I tend to think more in story form rather than pure gags. I'll be trying something a little more in the middle in the next storyline. We're not quite out of this one yet, though.

We Could Not Fail

Hopefully, at long last, you now know why the Natives had life sabers in the last story arc. Dark Jay had "provided" them with this advanced "tool." How very sporting of him.

This should have been updated for you on Saturday. Originally, I thought that I'd post it Friday night but that idea got scrapped due to some other things to take care of. I was busy all day Saturday but I was planning to do it Saturday night - I was just too tired to remember to do it when I finally got home. Then Sunday, too, came and went without posting the update. So here I am, on Monday night, making sure I get it posted before this night passes me by too. Yikes.
