Some of the comment tweaks I made on my Mac totally hosed what was a far more delicate balancing of CSS-fu in Internet Explorer than I'd realized. See the return of [if-IE] checks to my code. Sigh.

I also figured out how to fix the order of the damn news posts about three years late. Go figure.

Site redesign - 28 Feb 2010 10:06 pm

I've been meaning to make Not Included a new site for a while now. The embarrassing thing is that I spent about a quarter of my time attempting to get the comment count to show up in the hide/show comments link. I'll need to figure out how to get my Mac's local server to use PHP so I can debug this exceedingly simple looking debacle.

Anyhow, it looks much better now. I don't think the ads will be coming back. Please ping me with any issues you might notice.

Wonderful things have happened, and I am afear'd I haven't yet regained the mental wherewithal I am accustomed to. I am a captive, and my contentment is my captor. The days blur by like roadside palms glimpsed from within the ajar trunk of a '57 Bel Air. The trunk door flaps with each bump, whispering of my presence with a klunk a clack a clunk. The car is green.

If you need to feel manly, go no further than Robot Unicorn Attack. Really, a moment with that gives me the heart of a champion.

Lines became my enemy at some point. They are no longer friends with color.

I am getting married Thursday. That's the important thing to write here, I suppose. Plans and planning simply slow the onset of the desired. There were reasons for this event to be located in the future rather than the past, but those reasons are no longer satisfactory. Come on space-time, let's do this thing.

Oh, to consume. There is so much. Fantastic Mr. Fox, Community, I like these things. The love put into them shines through, and it is hard to ignore.

Houses are terrifying things. There is so much that could be done. We could spend the rest of our lives sprucing up this tiny hole we live in, and it would consume us. I imagine that all aspects of life are so, but this facet of the jewel has got me eerily transfixed. I cling to other things, other outlets, that the world might know I still exist, but I'm not sure there's more reason to it than that.

Also: HELL YEAH.

I saw Ghostbusters in a theater yesterday. The Arizona Ghostbusters were there. Fine folks.

It has been a long time. Angie and I got a house and have been planting things, moving things. The house feels like a house now. We also made these.

This was all of Sunday. The script, after much deliberation, got done last week. It feels good to get the art done this quickly, even though I sure as hell took a while to get started on it.

I like Moon. Some of the themes are, shall we say, a bit familiar. It's exceptionally well done, and feels very much like a "come on, let's get Sam Rockwell a damn Oscar." kind of movie. I'm very glad to see that non-space opera sci fi can still be thought provoking and exciting at the same time. I was beginning to lose hope.

My internet connection is impressively good at cutting out the instant I finish a comic. It's also very good at cutting out in general; I suppose I shouldn't be too impressed.

Angie is in Norway for two months. Rough times. I'll be voyaging out there myself for a bit after that. I hope to get more extra comic time than extra screw-around-and-play-video-games time during these intervening weeks, but as I wholly expect to fall into some glacial crevasse in Norway and be eaten by voracious ice crabs, I may be a bit more carefree than I ought.

Unity 3D has been, and likely will be, dominating much of my free time. It is truly impressive stuff. Know how to code? Want to make a game without spending all of your time writing the engine? Ding.
