I wish that the other crafts I did felt like I was outputting a significant chunk of self each time I did them, but that's simply not the case. Making a game? Code, code, art assets, get a prototype going, and maybe a year later I'll get to speak, tell a story, but probably not, 'cause this thing be multiplayer.

The art's a blast to do, but the repetition, the extremely high ratio of things drawn to appended meaning, it leaves me behind.

The PNG for this comic was 2 megs. I'm bleary-eyed enough to think that the JPG compression is unnoticeable with my leet settings; howl if you'd rather have the PNG.

I drew this comic in ArtRage. It's pretty nice, but there's an obvious detail hit and it seems to make these things incredibly slow to produce. Your thoughts'd be appreciated, two dudes that still read this.

I suppose it's a bit lame to make comics out of our conversations verbatim, but hopefully you are amused. I do not quite plan for this to become a journal comic in entirety, but I cannot ignore how much of the creativity and humor in my life happens in the presence of my lady if I have any hope of keeping this beast of lines and words bumbling along.

I hope this is legible.

This was supposed to be a faster style to draw. It was not. I will likely further streamline things for the next comic, as I would like there to be a next comic, but I've also got other things in the pipe.

I've already posted this elsewhere, but, just in case, here is further proof that I'm a badass.

This has been done for quite some time, but I was fiddling, adding more things to the background, etc. I liked it simpler. This is what I sent off to the printer. GIMP has started showing incorrect colors on my Mac, which results in some truly off-putting color changes happening when I save the final image. Things are displayed correctly (and are thus correctable) in Windows, but it looks like it's time for me to buy a cheap Wacom so I can get Photoshop Elements for less than a hundo. I'm boring as hell when I talk shop. Just imagine I wrote about bears with jetpacks vs. robot MacGyver instead.

SC2 makes me nostalgic for many wasted nights 10 years ago. Except I suck slightly less this time.

This comic was supposed to be svelte and speedy, but then it wasn't. I think things got off track after the bulldozer. That goddamn bulldozer. Words take a while, too. In the end, even counting blank staring time and putzing around with the posting script, this still took less than three hours. And there was a lot of blank staring.

I have a (digital) painting in progress for the living room. You will like it, I hope.

It takes me too long to do these things. My mind is not fast enough to create. My mind, my mind.

I took a couple days of Angie's spring break off. It was hellaciously enjoyable. A solid monthish of rain has caused strange things to happen this spring. There is green. On the ground.

We have a coupon for a free canvas print. My goal: a 16x20" digital painting for the living room. I am trying to remember how to paint things, but my visual imagination has proven to be an emaciated, hissing, thing. Perhaps I have already seen all that can be. Perhaps I really should paint Angie riding a tiger whilst kicking a jetpack bear in the throat. That could be all I've got.

I have found your next wallpaper.

Some of the comment tweaks I made on my Mac totally hosed what was a far more delicate balancing of CSS-fu in Internet Explorer than I'd realized. See the return of [if-IE] checks to my code. Sigh.

I also figured out how to fix the order of the damn news posts about three years late. Go figure.
