Hey look! It's a ping-pong table! I originally wasn't going to post this on the site because I deemed it a failure. I forgot the white stripe down the middle and you can't even see the net. Nonetheless, Capitol Hill Seattle deemed it nice to enough to post on their website! You can check it out by clicking here.

So, as some of you may have heard, they're making a Watchmen Movie. They're saying that Alan Moore and that other dude (Dave Gibbons?) aren't too pleased about it. Normally I'd side with them, the authors, but I'm just too excited to care. The trailer looks amazing, except for Doctor Manhattan, but really, he was a glowing blue dude. Period. There's not much to work with.
Grocery Outlet Obama
A giant head of our fearless candidate, Barack Obama. With a hardhat on. In the parking lot of the Central District's Grocery Outlet I realize this might be a bit confusing, but if you took a look inside the GO, you would understand. Inside, hanging from the ceiling, is a giant poster of a guy who looks EXACTLY like Obama, wearing a hardhat, and saying something along the lines of "Grocery Outlet means bargains- any way you slice it". The resemblance is uncanny. I just thought I'd take it a step further.

Trust me, this thing is bigger than the pictures make it look. The whole image is about as tall as I stand. It just seemed to shrink once it went up on the streets. As with most of my work, I was able to paste this one up during the day.

The batch of paste I made for this piece was pretty bad. It ended up having some chunks in it and being thicker than it should have been. This caused some problems (wrinkles, unsticky edges, etc).

Mario Block Sticker
On the back of a "NO PARKING SIGN" on a hill (corner of Prospect and 17th). Just down the street from yesterday's stencil! It's a pretty simple and overused design, I know, but I think it turned out well. It's on one of those free postal stickers; I got a roll of 1000 the other day. Free stickers! Thanks mailmen!

This sign is relatively new. Days after it was erected, the infamous SYRUP had already tagged the other side of this sign (the side with the actual signage), and wrote some choice cusses as well. I'm 90% sure he lives on Capitol Hill, as that's where most of his work is. I have mixed feelings about him, as all he does is tag and swear at people. Or maybe "he" is actually a gang. Not really sure. Maybe someday I'll find out...
