PRAYER FOR NOVEMBER 2011

Dear God, Ephesians 1:18 says that all believers are Your inheritance,therefore, I believe this verse is saying that when believers are weary You will confirm they belong to You by refreshing them and strengthening them.
So, God, whenever I grow weary, I will call upon You to send Your plentiful rain to cleanse and refresh me. I will call upon You to strengthen me when I am tired, establish me when I get impatient, and assure me when I begin to doubt.
I am so thankful to be Your inheritance and I know I can count on You to take care of me everyday of my life here on earth !

PRAYER FOR OCTOBER 2011

Dear God, I know You are able to do all things for You are Almighty God, so whenever I am feeling weak, tired, or inadequate, I need to remember that You are able to keep me from stumbling, therefore I need to call upon You when I am in need of strength.
I need to remember that You want to present me faultless so I need to ask You to lead and guide me to Your right paths, for You are always able to keep my foot from slipping.
Therefore, in all things, I need to remember to call upon You, for You are more than able to help me, and You want to help me, because You love me.
Your greatest desire is that I succeed to come before You with exceeding joy!
So how can I possibly fail when I have You in my life !
Hallelujah! Thank You God, for being my all in all!
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:230 NLT

Dear Lord, I know You are good, and always ready to forgive,
for You are God-Who-Forgives(Ps.99:8).
You are abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
You are kind, compassionate and give favor even though it may not be deserved.
You always want the best for Your children.
So, I will trust You, believe Your word, and seek Your forgiveness whenever I need it
and in the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
for I know You will answer me and deliver me out of my trouble.

Dear LORD, You are my light, this means I have no need to fear the darkness or worry about stumbling or losing my way because You, my Light, are always shining for me--why then should I have any fear?
Dear LORD, You are my salvation, this means You will save me and protect me from harm--why then should I have any fear?
Dear LORD, You are the strength of my life, this means I do not ever need to be afraid, for You are always with me to help me, strengthen me and protect me.
Why then should I ever fear?
Dear LORD, I pray that I will remember this verse every day, so that if I start feeling afraid, the truth of this verse will come into my mind, and I will be able to put my confidence in You and then all fear will fade away.

Dear God, if You are for me who can be against me?
That is a good question to ask myself daily.
The answer of course is no one can really be successful against me unless I allow them to be, because no one can stand against You.
Oh,a lot could try but none could overcome, for You are the One True God, the Holy One of Israel, all powerful and Almighty, and there is none like You.
Satan can tempt, but You, God, are for me and will make a way out for me.
Demons can torment, but God, You are there for me, and they will tremble at the sound of Your name.
Man can burden me but God, You are for me, and You will take those burdens and give me peace.
So it makes no sense to fear or fret because You are always near and always for me.
This something I really need to get deep into my being and remind myself of daily that I have no need that is greater than You !
Thank You God ! I praise You for who You are and what You do !

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."
She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else in the class laughed.
My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am.
Fried chicken is my favorite animal.
I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much.
I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef.
Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office.
I told him what happened, and he laughed, too.
Then he told me not to do it again.
The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was.
I told her it was chicken.
She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children. So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.
She sent me back to the principal's office again.
He laughed, and told me not to do it again.
I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am!
Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most.
I told her, "Colonel Sanders."
Guess where I am now.

Dear God, I want to claim this Precious Promise regarding Anxiety.
I want to live in Your Peace instead of being Anxious about anything.
So each time I feel anxiety about something I will:

A. Pray about it.

B. Submit it to You

C. Give You Thanks for it. (And for what You will do about it.)

D. I will gladly then receive Your peace.

Thank You, Father, that I do not have to be anxious for anything
but can always choose to live in peace. Amen

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged.
However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'
