Gospel Champions Game Available to All Families - New Episode Available for February

We are pleased to offer the 2009-2010 Gospel Champions Game ... FREE for all our families ... the Catholic Action Adventure game that allows you to play the stories of the Gospel as you hear them proclaimed during Mass.

Each month the game presents a new Gospel story from one of the readings in Mass. So you hear it in Mass and play it at home!

Help Zack and Mary Martha as they travel through adventures using fun power-ups and ancient tools to perform works of mercy, solve problems and outwit menacing adversaries. Score bonus points as you find Catholic Prayers, Saints and Teachings. The game includes 13 Gospel story games with age settings for grades K-8 and a family leader board.

To get your FREE copy of the game, visit the Gospel Champions page and follow the instructions to download and install your very own copy.

System requirements: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP (for Vista you must have administrator rights to install); 128 MB RAM; 800 MHz processor; 3D graphics card; and a sound card.

Meet the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny will be coming for a visit ... there will be games, face painting and many other fun events and activities.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my sad duty to inform you our Principal Mrs. Ruth Mazzarella will be retiring in June. We wish Ruth all the best and thank her for her dedicated service to our children and parish community.

As we continue our Lenten journey, please mark your calendar for our Parish Mission beginning next Sunday March 21st at 7pm. Fr. Anthony Ciorra will be speaking at all the Masses. The schedule for he Mission is:

Sunday March 21 - "Learning to live simply in a complex World"

Monday March 22 - "Reconciliation: God forgives and He really forgets"

Tuesday March 23 - "Living the mission one day at a time"

Our annual Penenace Service will follow.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This past month many parishioners complained they could not hear the presider or the lector at certain Masses. I asked Joe Szabo to call Monte Bros. Sound Systems, Inc. who installed our present system in 2001. Their representative fixed some of the speakers in the Church and updated the software.

Monte Bros. has informed us that as of January 1, 2009, it became illegal for wireless microphone manugactureres or sound system contractors to sell or service wireless microphone systems that operate on the 700 MHz bandwidth. Also as of January 14, 2010, the FCC has adopted a "Wireless Microphone Report and Order" to clear all wireless microphone users from the 700 MHz wireless bandwidth by June 12, 2010. Since these wireless microphone systems that were installed in 2001 cannot be serviced or repaired, and must eventually be vacated from operating on the 700MHz wireless bandwidth, they have given us an estimate of $7,869.00 to upgrade these wireless microphone systems to operate on the FCC approved MHz bandwidth. This upgrade will maximize the current wireless microphone system by utilizing the existing lavaliere and headset microphones, and by recalibrating the existing UHF diversity wireless microphone anntennas to operate on the 600 MHz bandwidth and interface with the new wireless master antenna distribution system.

I've also have been aware that people are suffering with our kneelers. (I find it more comfortable kneeling on the floor!) Perhaps in the summer we can do a fundraiser to repair the kneelers.

Masses: Monday through Friday 6:30am and 8:30am; Saturday 8am and 5:30pm

Evening Masses: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7pm

Mondays: Lenten Novena 7pm Mass is followed by novena prayers to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

Wednesdays:Healing Mass - Prayers for healing and a blessing for the sick will be offered after Wednesday evening masses.

Fridays: Stations of the Cross - All are invited to pray the Stations of the Cross after Friday evening Mass

Sacrament of Reconciliation: Saturdays of Lent 11am-12pm and 4pm-5pm
