If you're reading this on the day of posting (01.18.2012), you know that some of the largest websites have gone dark for 24hrs to protest the House bill Stop Online Piracy Act and the Senate bill Protect-IP Act. Although I won't black this site out, I will direct you to this neat little video explaining just exactly why these two bills could shutter the Internet as we know it under the guise of "protecting intellectual property holders from piracy".

In reference to the last post, I added in a couple of boxes with links provided by Scribol. They got a nice little gig with a boatload of interesting tidbits on it. You'll find them on the Links page and a small single box on the bottom right of the homepage.

As for the last bit: I want to ring in 2012 not with a bang but a Giant Flying Turtle! I'm currently uploading the few PD Gamera flicks to my Livestream account as I type this. My plan is to show the few Gamera movies that have fallen into Public Domain starting with Gammera the Invincible. First movie starts at 11pm Eastern Time and going on 'till I'm done. = )
